Chris Abbey  > Quinn > First Year
Quinn Vincent.

Born at 23:13 on 6 August 2007. 7 lbs, 9.2 oz. 20" long, 13" head & chest.

That's almost 12 hrs after we arrived at the hospital, with only a Pitocin drip for the last 3 hours or so... no other drugs... the nursing staff were all just as impressed with Cory as Veronica and I were. Best pain killer for her seemed to have been a deep primal scream that I'm told was heard clearly throughout the birth center. Oh and for those expecting dads out there... get a doula, you're not going to regret it.

Additional photos oncoming... say for the next several years. This gallery archive is now closed. Next year's gallery is here.

Chris Abbey > "So this is how you do 'live long and prosper', right?"

(gee mom, those toes look familiar at all? not quite as noticable in this shot as normally, but little one is rotated a full 90 degrees outboard, and the two middle ones are 45 degrees or so the other way. Genetics, it works. (explanation of joke, scroll down to the green shirts with that same graph. (and yes, I know you should never tell a joke that requires explanation, but that one was worth it imho. (and who says you can't nest parenthetical asides?! no one who's style book I care to follow.))))
Chris Abbey > "ah, home at last."
Chris Abbey > "to sleep, perchance to dream."

Though with a slightly more upbeat undertone than the Bard intended.
Chris Abbey > "Magic 8 ball says 'outlook is fuzzy come back later'."

(Wow, is that Cory's face or what?! Sadly he's got my toes (yours too mom!))
Chris Abbey > "Oh come on, let me out of this straight jacket... I wanna run my fingers through that!"

(Sorry dude, it got trimmed so I can cuddle without getting it in your eyes.)
Chris Abbey > "Mission Accomplished"

(and yes, odds are good I am going to catch hell for that caption. But unlike certain others that have made that claim, I have a basis in reality to base it on.)
Chris Abbey > "I'm not sure I like it out here afterall..."
Chris Abbey > "These are not the droids you are looking for."
Chris Abbey > "Hello old chap, I say, Jolly good to meet you."

(Yes, he shook my finger, about as close as you can get to a handshake with size XXXXS fingers vs my big mits.)
"So this is how you do 'live long and prosper', right?"
