Chris Abbey > "Angels of Caring"
"Throughout the history of our nation, brave men and women have given aid and comfort to our troops as they served to protect the freedom we enjoy"
Donor: Franklin P. Kottschade & Bonnie R Kottschade RN

It's actually quite a nice statue, however, it shares a disadvantageous location with many other parts of the Soldier's Field Memorial... that the main viewing angle has you looking directly into the sun most days. More shots of the memorial in Home is Where the Heart Is, my galery for the city of Rochester.
Chris Abbey > Newly constructed GeoCache canister, golf ball for scale. $15 worth of PVC for this size, slightly smaller ones would be possible for less, probably $10, using 3" PVC instead of 4" PVC. The glue and primer combo pack, and the silicon thread grease are enough to make a lot more of these canisters, so if any geocachers in the area wants me to make one for them, just post a comment.
Chris Abbey > Same newly constructed GeoCache canister, you can almost see the threads on the lid. We got some silicon thread grease to coat them with to hopefully keep the container easily openable. We have some brown and green spray paint from various projects around, so we'll make it "not white" tommorow.
Chris Abbey > elmothered and the hybridbadgers, with mascot Effie, after placing the cache.
Chris Abbey > elmothered and half of the hybridbadgers placing the original cache. It's not fared well physically, though it's been a popular 'lunch time cache' so we're constructing a replacement.
Chris Abbey > elmothered wandering in the fields, off in her own little world. As you can see, somehow the camera managed to visit her on that world.
